Rank Expert sells guest posting, link insertion, content and web development. Unlike most agencies, the services are productised and bought directly rather than quoted, so the site had to function as both a credibility pitch and a storefront.
The challenge
- Six service lines needing separate explanation without becoming a wall of text
- Buyers in this category are sceptical, having usually been burned by a previous SEO provider
- Services are bought directly, so the site needed a working cart and account system
- Search traffic is the main acquisition channel, so content had to be built in from the start
What we built
- Bright blue design system with custom illustration throughout, keeping a technical service approachable
- Typewriter hero rotating through the core offering, with a single get started action
- Three outcome cards directly under the hero, framing rankings, organic traffic and brand awareness in the client’s terms rather than the agency’s
- Positioning section explaining the approach and the partnership model
- Six card service grid covering link building, content marketing, guest posting, niche edits and link insertion, web design and development, and digital marketing, each with its own route in
- Client testimonial section on a dark band
- Blog grid pulling the latest four articles, with a route to the full library
- Guest posting explainer band aimed at the highest intent visitor, ending in a contact action
- Illustrated newsletter capture
- Footer carrying quick links, legal pages, reseller rules, blogger outreach, and three international office locations with contact routes including Skype
Commerce and accounts
Cart, account area and shop are built into the primary navigation, so a returning buyer purchases without an enquiry. Reseller rules and a blogger outreach page sit in the footer, supporting the agency’s second audience of other agencies buying placements wholesale.
Content architecture
The blog is treated as an acquisition channel rather than an afterthought, with a full library, featured cards on the homepage and articles targeting the questions buyers search before purchasing. For an SEO agency the site itself is the proof, so the content structure had to hold up to the scrutiny of visitors who know what they are looking at.
Results
A site that pitches and transacts in the same visit, with six productised services purchasable directly and a content library feeding the top of the funnel.
