Amino Research USA supplies research grade peptides across a catalogue running to several hundred compounds. Most stores in this niche carry twenty products. This one carries a range that breaks ordinary ecommerce layouts, so the work was as much about handling scale as it was about design.
The challenge
- A catalogue large enough that standard grid pagination would bury most of the range
- Researchers arrive knowing the exact compound they want, so search and category depth matter more than merchandising
- Compliance language needs to hold across hundreds of product pages, not just the homepage
- The site needed moving to new hosting, with the existing host at its storage limit and no backup in place

- Clean blue and white clinical design with consistent vial photography across the whole catalogue
- Persistent left sidebar category navigation, giving direct access to every compound group from any scroll position
- Popular Peptides row at the top for the compounds most researchers arrive for

- Continuous product grid carrying the full range, each card showing the compound, dosage and an add to cart action
- FDA disclaimer and regulatory compliance blocks at the foot of every page
- Newsletter capture and a footer carrying shipping, payment, legal and contact routes
Catalogue architecture
With a range this size, navigation is the product. The sidebar stays fixed so a researcher can jump between compound families without scrolling back, and category filtering narrows the grid in place rather than moving the user to a new archive page. The result is a store a repeat buyer can work quickly, which matters more than discovery in a category where buyers already know the compound name.
Compliance handling
Research use only positioning is carried in the product descriptions and reinforced by the FDA disclaimer and regulatory compliance notices at the base of every template, so the language is present on every one of the hundreds of product pages rather than only on the homepage.
Migration
Migrated the full site to new hosting over SSH. The originating host had hit its storage ceiling with no backup available, so the transfer had to be handled read only at source, pulling the file system and database across without writing anything back to the live environment. Site remained available throughout.
Results
A store that stays fast and navigable at several hundred products, moved to new hosting with no downtime and no data loss from a host that had no room to back itself up.
