PepLab supplies third party tested research peptides to UK laboratories and qualified researchers. In this category the design brief and the compliance brief are the same brief. Everything that makes the store persuasive, purity data, batch certificates, testing verification, is also what keeps it inside research use only boundaries.
The challenge
- Every claim carries regulatory risk, so the copy has to sell on documentation rather than effect
- Buyers compare on purity and testing, which needs surfacing before price
- Variable dosing across compounds, so single products carry multiple size and price options
- Research only positioning has to hold on every template, not just the footer
What we built
- Clinical teal and white design with angled section breaks and molecular imagery, reading as laboratory rather than retail
- Hero carrying an independently third party lab tested badge above the headline, with two routes in, bundles or full catalogue
- Four point trust grid arranged around the product range, covering quality and purity, research solutions, research partnership and customer support
- New arrivals row with sale pricing, strikethrough originals and variable option selectors
- Peptide blends feature band linking to the wider range
- Research peptides explainer stating in vitro use, qualified professionals only and not approved for human or animal consumption, positioned as information rather than disclaimer
- Third party testing, quality guarantee and rewards cards
- FAQ accordion covering certificates of analysis, payment methods, testing and what research peptides are
- Closing confidence band, newsletter capture, and a footer carrying privacy, terms, delivery, research only policy and refund and chargeback policy
- Affiliate account and registration links in the footer navigation
Compliance architecture
Research use only language is written into the body copy of the explainer section and the FAQ rather than isolated in a footnote, so it appears in the reading path instead of below it. The full disclaimer sits in the footer on every page, covering laboratory use, non medical status and qualified handling. Product copy describes identity, purity and batch verification only.
Commerce setup
Full WooCommerce build with variable products for dosing options, bundle products, sale pricing, cart and checkout, UK shipping with a free shipping threshold, customer accounts, a points based rewards system and an affiliate registration flow.
Results
A store where the compliance position and the sales argument are the same thing, with certificates and third party testing surfaced before price on every product.
