Legacy Lakeside is a thirty acre family resort with six individual cabins and a wedding venue in development. Families booking a holiday are choosing an experience, not comparing amenities, so the site was built to sell the atmosphere first and put availability one click away at every point.
The challenge
- Emotional purchase, so rate comparison and feature lists would sell it poorly
- Six distinct cabins each needing individual identity without fragmenting the booking flow
- A wedding venue not yet open, needing interest captured before launch
- Repeat family bookings are the business model, so the site had to feel like a returning tradition rather than a transaction
What we built
- Warm navy and cream palette with wide, uncluttered photography carrying every section
- Full width hero over a family on the dock, with a single action, check availability
- Resort story section pairing an image collage with the thirty acre positioning
- Split experience band reinforcing the resort as a stay rather than a room booking
- Cabin grid presenting all six properties, each with its own name, imagery and direct availability link
- Wedding and event centre block flagged as coming soon, capturing early interest ahead of opening
- Relax, Adventure and Gather mood section using photography and typography instead of feature copy
- Full width accommodation detail band on navy, with another availability call to action
- Newsletter capture for offers and a contact form in the footer with full resort details
Booking journey
Check availability repeats at the hero, after the story, on every cabin card and in the closing band, so a visitor is never more than one screen from booking regardless of where the photography convinced them. Individual cabins carry their own availability links rather than routing through a single generic form, which keeps the choice a guest has already made intact through to enquiry.
Results
An availability first journey that lets families book the moment the photography lands, with the wedding venue building an interest list before it opens.
