Desire Organics sells a single botanical oil in a category most buyers are uncomfortable shopping in. The brief was a landing page that feels premium and clinical rather than crude, so the customer feels comfortable enough to buy without leaving the page.
The challenge
- A sensitive category where design tone determines whether a buyer trusts the brand or closes the tab
- One product, meaning the entire page has to carry the purchase decision
- Ingredient credibility is the main persuasion lever available
- Advertising restrictions in this category limit the marketing channels, putting more weight on the site itself
What we built
- Deep green and gold palette with tropical botanical framing, positioning the product as apothecary rather than novelty
- Hero opening directly on the buying decision, with rating, price, strikethrough original price, quantity selector and buy now available in the first screen
- Three benefit pillars in a light band, breaking up the dark hero
- Full ingredient section on dark green with a custom line illustration for each of the six oils and a short note on the role of each
- Brand story sequence in an alternating image and text layout, covering positioning, formulation and the discretion promise
- Instagram gallery pulling lifestyle and packaging photography
- Newsletter capture and a footer carrying refund policy, order tracking, privacy and terms
Design approach
Everything about the treatment is deliberately understated. Custom gold line illustrations for each ingredient give the page an apothecary feel and let the formulation carry the argument instead of aggressive copy. Product photography leans on packaging and presentation, so the page could sit alongside a skincare brand. In a category where buyers are wary of being sold to, restraint is the conversion tactic.
Results
A discreet, premium buying experience that keeps the purchase one tap away throughout, in a category where trust is the main barrier.
